A life changer for me though was that the purple stashes on your PDA always hold some kind of tool kit in them (that includes gunsmithing set and medical creation kit). Outside of that there are always mods and I believe someone else linked a mod for that.

Since advanced tools requaires 4 basic ones, i just searched for 8 advanced tools and crafted it as soon as i found the last one. I found like 13 of advanced one at before spawning it. Most of them i gived to technicians in hope getting stash coordinates but i gave up after 30 or even 40 stashes.
